KenCrest Plants 'Seeds Of Purpose' This WeekendPOTTSTOWN PA – An open house to celebrate the launch of “Seeds of Purpose,” the new craft and garden center retailing operation of KenCrest Employ-net, will be held Friday and Saturday (Oct. 5 and 6, 2012), from 2-5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., respectively, at the store at 1494 N. Charlotte St. The event is open to the public.

Mums, gourds, fall craft items, greeting cards, and treats for birds and dogs all will be offered for sale.

Seeds of Purpose is a small horticultural training and therapy program designed for people with developmental disabilities and mental retardation. Its individuals grow flowers, herbs and vegetables, and create handcrafted ceramics which are sold locally in the community.

KenCrest annually serves, and attempts to create or find employment opportunities for, more than 8,000 people with developmental disabilities at 350 site locations in the five-county Philadelphia region and Delaware.
