White Lodging Names New Manager For Collegeville Hotel

COLLEGEVILLE PA – David Arena, who previously served as general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott in Malvern PA, has been promoted by hotel franchisee White Lodging Services Corporation to hold the same position at its Courtyard by Marriott in Collegeville, 600 Campus Dr., the company announced Thursday (Dec. 6, 2012).

The recently renovated hotel, near the Route 29 interchange of U.S. Route 422, will be a testing facility for White Lodging’s company-wide training program.

While in Malvern, the company said, Arena helped propel its guest service scores into the top 10 percent of the Courtyard brand. He has held a variety of positions with other companies, including Penn Oaks Golf Club, Residence Inn by Marriott, Wyndham Hotels, Crescent Hotels, Parcels Incorporated and The Shipley Grill/Arena’s Famous Delicatessen, a four-star upscale American-Bistro style restaurant and catering facility that he personally owned and operated until 2002.

Last year, Arena was selected to receive the White Lodging General Manager of the Year 2012 Acquisition-Select Service Award.

White Lodging was established in 1985 and is headquartered in Merrillville IN. Its current portfolio consists of more than 160 hotels in 20 states.
