Limerick Heritage Field Airport To Receive Runway Repair

LIMERICK PA – Limerick Aviation LP, the privately held company responsible for operations at Heritage Field Airport, 3310 W. Ridge Pike, has indicated it plans to seal cracks in, and remark some portions of, its paved runway and taxiway, and also install two new lighting fixtures. It is seeking bid proposals for the work through April 30 (2013; Tuesday) from area contractors.

A legal advertisement announcing ts call for bids was published Thursday (April 11). The text of the notice follows:

INVITATION TO BID NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that sealed bid Proposals are sought and requested for performance of a contract, according to specifications, to be let by the LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P. for the HERITAGE FIELD AIRPORT as follows:

RUNWAY 10-28 CRACK-SEALING AND REMARKING Including, but not limited to, the following approximate items of work: P-620 Remove Existing Pavement Markings – 3,600 Square feet P-620 Permanent Runway Taxiway Pavement Markings – 28,000 Square feet P-400 Preparation of Existing Pavement Type I – 3,00 Square feet P-400 Preparation of Existing Pavement Type IT – 2,150 Square feet L-125 Install New Base Mounted Threshold Light – 2 Each

Separate, sealed bid Proposals for tile above project at the HERITAGE FIELD AIRPORT will be received by the LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P. at the airport, unti 2:00 p.m. on 4/30/2013. The bids Proposals will be publicly opened by the LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P. and read at 2:00 p.m. on the same date. Proposals shall be mailed or delivered to HERITAGE FIELD AIRPORT 3310 West Ridge Pike Road Pottstown, PA 19464 Copies of plans and specifications will be available for examination and downloading beginning on April 9, 2013 at the following website: http://www.mjinc.com/BidProjects.html Under the Project Name: “Heritage Field Runway 10-28 Crack Sealing and Remarking” A pre-bid conference will be held at HERITAGE FIELD AIRPORT on 4/18/13 at 10:00 a.m. Attendance by prospective bidders is strongly recommended. Bidders must supply all the information required by the proposal forms. A Cashier’s Check, drawn upon a state of national bank, or a Proposal Bond with a Surety’s Bond Affidavit, in the penal sum of 10 percent (10%) of the total maximum bid price will be required with each bid Proposal. The proposed contract is subject to Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1965, and the Equal Opportunity Clause (see Sections 120-04 and 120-06).

The LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P., in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Sta. 262,42 D.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bid INVITATION TO BID Proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

All bid Proposals are to be delivered to the LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P. with the following information clearly labeled on the outside of an opaque, sealed envelope: project number, location of airport, and name and business address of the bidder. When sent by mail, preferably registered, the sealed proposal, marked as indicated above, should be enclosed in an additional envelope.

The LIMERICK AVIATION, L.P. reserves the right to reject any and all bid Proposals and to waive any informality in bid Proposals received.

LIMERICK PA – Sarah Benson, a Quakertown PA resident, has been named as a banking center representative at The Victory Bank, 548 N. Lewis Rd., the bank announced earlier this month. In her new position, Benson will assist clients in achieving their short and long term financial goals.

Benson’s financial experience includes serving as a retail banker at Woodforest National Bank, Hatfield; head teller at Univest National Bank, Plumsteadville; and teller and customer service associate at PNC Bank, Buckingham.

LIMERICK PA – Real estate sales persons Dana Right and Stephen Maco have joined the Keller Williams Realty Group‘s Limerick Market Center, 542 N. Lewis Rd., the brokerage announced Thursday (Oct. 18, 2012).

Right has become a member of the Kim Welch Team there; Maco has become part of the brokerage’s sales staff.

Right previously worked as an agent for Prudential in Collegeville. She primarily concentrates on residential sales, first-time home buyers and investment properties, with a specific focus on Phoenixville, Collegeville, Limerick, Royersford, and surrounding areas.

A Phoenixville resident, Right annually hosts “Toys for Tots” charity events at her home, and also is involved in supporting breast cancer research, and the Ride for Autism Speaks.

Maco has several years of experience in the customer service industry, and became interested in real estate through his family’s investments in residential properties. His grandmother was a successful agent for many years. He also is involved in property management.

A Douglassville resident, Maco enjoys golfing and skiing.

Limerick's ePlus Offers Portable Video ConferencingLIMERICK PA – Think of this as video-conferencing-to-go.

ePlus inc., a Virginia-based technology solutions provider that operates offices on West Ridge Pike in Limerick, said Tuesday (June 19, 2012) it had begun offering customers a low-cost alternative for whole-room video conferencing that does not need to be permanently installed but is “equivalent to the best fixed installations.”

Called ePlus Advantage Portable Video Conferencing, the modular equipment can be easily moved and quickly set-up to meet customer demand. It is based on Cisco technology and allows customers to choose one of four configurations to fit their needs, requirements, and budget. The set-up includes a mobile video cart, installation and implementation, and managed services, and is capable of serving up to 50 users or video endpoints with five simultaneous video calls.
