Diamond Credit Union Wins, What Else?, Diamond Award

POTTSTOWN PA – Representatives of Diamond Credit Union, headquartered on Medical Drive in Lower Pottsgrove (PA) Township, left a New Orleans LA meeting Saturday (March 10, 2012) with a trophy in their hands.

Diamond's new Diamond Award

The credit union was honored by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing and Business Development Council with that organization’s Diamond Award. The group calls it “the most prestigious competition for excellence in marketing and business development in the credit union industry.” The award was presented during the council’s annual conference, held March 7-10.

Diamond won a “Categories Best” award for community or public relations single event: the ribbon unveiling at the credit union’s annual charity golf invitational. In 2011, Diamond cemented a seven-year relationship with Golden Oaks Golf Club when the club painted a ribbon-shaped section of its cart path pink, in honor of Diamond’s Relay For Life team.

This permanent fixture on the golf course, along with a commemorative plaque, helps to spread awareness and gives golfers the opportunity to make a donation to the American Cancer Society throughout the year.

“Receiving this national recognition is a great honor for Diamond,” Vice President of Marketing Todd Rothenberger said. “We always strive to be a leader in our local community, and we are thrilled that our efforts have been noticed at this level.”

Diamond Credit Union is the 18th largest credit union in Pennsylvania, has two additional offices in Reading. It serves more than 40,000 members in Montgomery, Chester and Berks counties, and holds more than $379 million in assets.
